SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT (PATERSON BAND D LOWER)

Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified Mosotho national with the appropriate skills, experience and high integrity to fill the position of
SECURITY SUPERINTENDENT (PATERSON BAND D LOWER)

PURPOSE: To operationalise Letšeng Mine’s security policies, thereby ensuring the provision of a general mine security service.

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
-Actively provide input into the Security Strategic planning process
-Operationalise, co-ordinate and implement the Security Strategic plan to mitigate security risks and ensure the provision of an effective asset protection service
-Manage and control the security operational budget and ensure adherence to approved budgeted expenditure
-Develop and review sectional procedures and ensure compliance to standards
-Review the reports of subordinates on each human intervention into high risk areas with a view to minimise such interventions.
-Ensure the monitoring of sensitive activities through closed circuit television
-Ensure random security checks are conducted as required by procedure
-Ensure the security of the export process
-Investigate problems and gather intelligence on diamond syndicates and any security related issues as directed by the Security -Manager
-Monitor the security preparedness of the mine and the ability to effectively respond to any kind of security threat
-Compile reports on investigations and anomalies identified in the course of work
-Solicit, and maintain good working relationships between the mine and Lesotho Law enforcement Agencies without compromise

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;
-Diploma in Security Management
-Certificate course in investigative techniques would be an advantage
-Sound knowledge and understanding of the security industry, the role players involved in the industry and their effect and the elements and conditions that impact on the industry

-Security Investigations

-Communication

ATTRIBUTES;
-Candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination of fitness as per requirements
-Successful completion of appropriate integrity tests.
