Recruitment at Land Administration Authority
The Authority seeks applications from qualified, competent and highly motivated individuals to fill the following positions within the organisation. The positions are based in Maseru and Leribe respectively. They require good spoken and written Sesotho and English. A competitive and market-related remuneration package including non-contributory benefits is offered. A brief descriptions of the positions are provided below.
Regional Accounts Assistant (1) – Leribe
Key Result Areas:
Timely, efficient and accurate completion of assigned tasks, including receipting, data entry and some bookkeeping tasks
Effective communication with other Finance staff
Adherence to accounting procedures and instructions
Assist both internal and external clients
Timely and accurate monthly collection reports
Director’s Secretary (1)
Key Result Areas:
Timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks.
Correctly prepared standard letters
Well maintained correspondence
Adherence to administrative procedures and instructions
Well organized meetings
Qualifications/Knowledge:
Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Office Administration
Billing and Valuation Assistant (1)
Key Result Areas:
Efficient, accurate and timely performance of billing & valuation tasks
Adherence to relevant procedures, laws and regulations
Preparation of clear and precise billing & valuation reports
Timely issue of accurate and complete customers ‘bills
Qualifications/Knowledge:
Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or Higher Diploma in Property Valuation or related discipline.
Working knowledge of Lesotho land values and property market
Land Surveyor (1)
Key Result Areas:
Land surveys prepared and approved accurately, in a timely manner and to specification as laid out in the Chief Surveyor’s Instructions and that they adhere to the Land Survey Act
Cadastral maps and DCDB kept up-to-date
Survey control data provided to users quickly
Smooth operation of Continuous Operating Reference Stations (CORS)
Effective supervision of Survey Assistants and technicians
Survey Assistant (1)
Key Result Areas:
Timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks, including field measurements, construction and maintenance of survey marks, and office data entry tasks
Effective communication with other Survey Services staff
Adherence to procedures and instructions
Assist both internal and external clients
Ensure that surveying equipment is in a working condition
Qualifications/Knowledge:
Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying
Skills:
Care of survey instruments and equipment
Ability to follow instructions and effectively undertake assigned tasks to completion
Basic linear measurements

All shortlisted applicants will be informed as to the status of their applications (please provide an email address for this purpose). Applicants who do not hear from the Authority by 10th November 2017 may assume that their applications have not been successful.
