Role Summary/Purpose 
"Integral member of team that delivers IT infrastructure and operations that meet established requirements and fulfil business needs and expectations.
The role will support all IT needs of business end users of our IT Infrastructure, and work with the respecyive GE IT teams, Vendors and stakeholders. " 

Essential Responsibilities 
"Support and Manage SSA Transportation IT infrastructure and and operational needs.It Infrastructure includes laptops, desktop's, routers, switches, wireless devices, servers and related hardware and software, as well as processes and operations to maintain performanace and availability of all elements. 
Coordinate and execute equipment repair, installation, maintanence, documentation, and procurement. 
Provide IT support to customers of General Electric and hands and eyes for L3 support. This will require working with GGO and their suppliers.
Performing installations, moves, changes, upgrades, configuration, testing and other planned requests. 
To ensure that all support incidents and Requests are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with defined policies and procedures. 

Qualifications/Requirements 
"At least 5 years supporting IT operational and infrastructure systems.
Knowledge of GE processes and procedures is preferred
IT Tertiary certificates
Matric
Experience with setting up new office IT infrastructure will be a plus 
Experience with having worked with remote users in Mozambique, Angola, Nigeria and SSA coountries, with an awareness and cultural sensitivity will be plus. 
Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization will be a plus "

Summary of Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Operations Manager , responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Lead the day to day operation of the Food and Beverage department ensuring all service standards are followed
• Produce and implement creative promotional programs within the various F&B outlets with the goal of increasing revenues
• Work closely with the Culinary team to execute the delivery of all Food & Beverage promotions and menus; creating a destination of choice for both hotel and external Guests
• Conduct weekly F&B departmental meetings
• Ensure the Food & Beverage department achieves its financial and operational targets
• Adhere to the annual budget and administer it in a fiscally responsible manner
• Monitor food, beverage, labour and operating expenses throughout the F&B department
• Monitor all guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits
• Select, train and develop Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
• Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

Technical Sales Support
Control departmental cost budgets
Tender involvement and pricing decision making 
Joint and direct technical support and sales and marketing of the products, according to agreed sales and marketing plans
New business growth in South and Central Africa.
Provide technical support and service internally and externally on screening media applications to the satisfaction of the customer
Expand into, and secure business for products in the African market
Initiate and Develop new business opportunities, in conjunction with the sales team.
Able to package “Process Solutions” to improve the share of business in projects
Technically support the efforts of the Sales Team
Travel, as necessary, in South and Central Africa.
Budgets and forecasting
Liaise with the DC and the manufacturing entity to ensure customer satisfaction
Manage the interface with the BU technical centre

Requirements:Matric
ND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy 
Previous experience as a Technical Support or Sales Manager in the mining industry would be an added advantage
Work experience in a Screen Media Technical and Sales environment
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills 
Good market knowledge
Good technical knowledge of vibrating screens.
An existing customer network would be beneficial
Computer literacy is essential
