JOB DESCRIPTION: The Lead Execution Engineer for the Finsch Underground Expansion Project is required to co-ordinate the activities and lead the Project Engineering Team consisting of design, construction and execution sections. The position will report to the Project Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead the Design and Construction Team responsible for design, from initial concept through to construction of major underground engineering installations
• Lead the Execution Team responsible for maintenance of the trackless development fleet and provision of engineering support to the development team
• Provide technical support for the design work
• Implement project controls
• Will be involved with budgets and estimates
• Develop and maintain the core capability of the Engineering team
• Manage stakeholder roles and expectations
• Represent the project in mine management forums
• Scope review and management functions
• Incorporation of standards and specifications – as required
• Manage scope changes, deviations and decisions for capital project
• Integration of work in terms of utilisation of mine infrastructure and facilities
• Will be involved with the following types of sub-projects (design and construction): conveyor belts, trackless tips, underground crushers, batch plant and HT / LT electrical reticulation

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• B Degree or National Higher Diploma in Engineering
• Government Certificate of Competency (Mines and Works)
• A minimum of 5 years underground hard rock project experience
• Operational experience in a leadership role
• Experience in large mining expansion / development projects
• Experience in Mine design projects
• Valid driver’s license (code 08/EB)
• Sound computer skills
• A Certificate/Diploma in Project Management would be an advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will be required to perform service maintenance and repairs on equipment/ machinery according to sound engineering practices and equipment specifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
• Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman
• Develop, modify, construct and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment
• Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure
• Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities performed and re-start of equipment
• Create and maintain job cards
• Supervise Engineering Aides
• Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs when required

Health Financing Volunteer, Maseru, Lesotho

Overview:

Based in Maseru, Lesotho, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is looking for a 3-month Volunteer to support our expanding work in health financing. CHAI’s Health Financing Program in Lesotho assists the Government of Lesotho to improve efficient utilization of financial resources for health by better understanding of financial resource flows and needs within the health sector. The program will also support development of long-term solutions to fluctuating domestic funds for health towards ensuring sustainable financing for the health sector.

The volunteer will report to the Health Financing Associate/Program Manager and will provide critical support to the government. S/he will be a part of a team that works in close partnership with the Ministry of Health, cooperating on a regular basis with donors, partner organizations and NGOs. The Volunteer will be called upon primarily to support these collaborative efforts both strategically and analytically.

• Support the Health Financing Associate to conduct a Health Sector-wide Resource Mapping data analyses of both program and financial data

• Support dissemination of results from the Resource Mapping Exercise through generation of power point presentation slides and a written report on the exercise
• Support central and district health managers on use of data for evidence-based decision making during the annual government health planning and budgeting process

Qualifications:

PSI seeks a Health Services Technical Advisor in Swaziland who will provide technical support to all staff to sustain an innovative, performance-driven Health Services department. The Advisor will oversee all health service areas including medical male circumcision and HIV counseling and testing. The successful candidate will have the demonstrated ability to manage complex service delivery programs and experience working with US government donors. He/she will have technical skills as well as management experience. This full-time position is based in Mbabane, Swaziland and reports to the Country Representative.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee and manage the strategic direction and programmatic activities of PSI's HIV service delivery programs which include Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) for adults and adolescents, Early Infant Male Circumcision (EIMC) and community-based HIV counseling and testing (HTC).
• Closely over see, monitor, and coordinate technical support to PSI partners, sub-partners and affiliates on HTC, and VMMC
• Serve as key point of contact for donors to proactively engage with them to share updates, lessons learned and challenges and to receive programmatic guidance on VMMC, EIMC and HCT activities.
• Serve as key point of contact for government in health service areas and to support public sector facilities for VMMC and EIMC integration.
• Work in collaboration with directors of PSI's health system strengthening and social and behavior change communication activities to ensure that the necessary advocacy and demand creation activities take place to ensure service delivery targets are reached.
• Build the capacity of senior technical staff to lead the Health Services department, via coaching, training, and shared oversight of activities. Transfer knowledge and skills in technical areas, and in program management (development of workplans, M&E plans, budgets and budget monitoring, program design and development).
• Improve the efficiency and health impact of health services programs while effectively leveraging staff and resources; devise strategies to increase synergies between HTC, MC and RH programs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for PSI's HIV service programs which includes leading efforts to identify new funding opportunities for existing and additional services including TB and PMTCT.
• Establish and implement integration of FP and NCDs into HTC and VMMC programs
• Contribute to regular programmatic and donor reports and document programmatic challenges and lessons learned.
• Work in close collaboration with PSI/Swaziland Communication and Marketing department to provide input into and ensure demand creation for HTC, VMMC, and FP programs, and ensure relevancy and consistency of all related messages.
• Work with research and M&E team to develop and monitor effective MIS systems, and quantitative and qualitative studies and surveys. Ensure close linkages between research results and evidence-based program planning.
• Serve as a key member of the platform's senior management team contributing to strategic planning and decision-making on a regular basis; transition participation to local key technical staff persons after one year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated experience managing large-scale PEPFAR funded programs. Substantial field experience strongly preferred.
• Graduate degree in public health, international development, marketing, or related discipline.
• Technical expertise in HIV required, including significant experience in the design and management of HIV prevention programs.
• Demonstrated understanding of current research and programmatic best practices in HIV prevention.
• Experience leading teams in project implementation, with demonstrated ability to motivate and build capacity of staff. Demonstrated ability to build capacity and transfer skills and knowledge strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; highly motivated and organized, able to work effectively with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
