Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of HEALTH & SAFETY SUPERINTENDENT (PATERSON BAND DL)
PURPOSE: To coordinate the HSE Management System; manage HSE the document control; manage HSE Information, Communication, Training & Competency programme; oversee the BBC programme; and supervise & coordinate H&S reporting.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guiding implementation of the HSE Management System
Managing HSE training, information and communication activities and resources
Upraising the BBC programme and analyse behavioural issues that may affect the HSE performance
Liaising with line management on HSE training needs
Coordinating, developing and implementing safety and regulatory compliance training programmes
Interacting with line management, HSE officers and training officers to communicate the safety, health & environmental management programme
Facilitating consultation and participation of management and employees on HSE matters
Validating sectional critical tasks and risk profiles
Overseeing developing of PTOs schedules and implementation
Monitoring management of corrective and preventive actions
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental
Management
Registered with Ministry of Labour and Employment as a Safety and Health Practitioner
At least five (5) years relevant experience in Safety Health and Environment issues
Specialised training – HIRA; Internal Auditing; Incident Investigation; HSE Roles and Responsibilities
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS;
Thorough knowledge to the HSE Management System
Knowledge and understanding of the HSE policies and procedures applicable to the specific work environment
Knowledge and understanding of the legislation and regulations inclusive of legislative and regulatory bodies within a specific environment
Ability to attend to finite detail whilst executing outputs to ensure the quality of service delivery
OTHER REQUIREMENTS;
Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness as per requirements.
