Letšeng Diamonds seeks to engage a qualified Mosotho national with the appropriate skills, experience and high integrity to fill the position of
WATER AND SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR (PATERSON BAND BL)
PURPOSE: To ensure water processed through the Letšeng water treatment plant is correctly treated to meet applicable quality standards, and that the plant is clean and functional.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Treat water as appropriate to achieve desired quality as per operating procedures
• Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and analytical laboratory testing required to maintain compliance with regulations governing the Sewage treatment plant, and sludge management
• Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.
• On call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the plant and pump stations
• Monitor and record plant performance, and escalate deviations to supervisor
• Perform the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and pump stations and all of their components.
• Assist in routine plant maintenance
• Ensure plant cleanliness
• Ensures work is carried out neatly and safely adhering to SHE and good housekeeping practices.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Diploma in Water and Environmental Engineering or equivalent.

• Light Motor Vehicle licence
• Interpersonal Skills
• Analytical skills
• Interpersonal Skills
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness as per requirements.
