Rock Tool Technical Analyst
The role
Support RTMS customers business by actively leading the end user to maximise the performance of the SM RT, promoting products and services, with a view to expand sales and maximise the profitability of the RT performance contracts.
Key performance areas
- Ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to maximise his EHS performance and all employees working with him. This includes compliance with the SMC EHS management program.
- Train the end user in the correct handling and usage of SM RT to ultimately reduce operational costs for the Customer.
- Measure SMC RT actual performance and set targeted performance for specific operation, determine a service plan to maximise effectiveness
- Measure the new or alternative SM RT actual performance against current RT been used by the customer.
- Complete RT performance report to be analysed by SM RT specialists and TSMsfor support in future decision making.
- Assess customers’ total potential for SMC RT products. Perform gap analysis by customer and site.
- Assist TSSR in the development of customer relationships that ensure customers remain loyal to SMC brands.
- Liaise between customers and TSMto ensure all warranty claims are settled in a timely fashion and are fast tracked as much as possible.
- Assess technical issues with all SM products, and prepare/submit to the Technical SupportManager (e. g. T&C and service, drill rigs, loaders, hammers, conveyors components, screening media & wear protection, GET, etc).
- Provide feedback to Technical Support Manager, who will work with relevant Product Managerson recommended actions that may grow our business and provide closer customer support.
- Assist with site dissemination of bulletins and alerts for all SM products.
- Ensure customers understand the pitfalls of purchasing non-OEM parts by identifying usage of non-genuine SM RT, and by conducting the necessary cost/performance analysis.
- Determine market share by customer site visited.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with SM company values and current SM company policies and procedures.
- Ensure customers have latest SMC product technology enhancements and are aware of the latest developments to obtain better performance.
- Continuously improve and update personal knowledge with respect to product development and technical innovation.
- Maintain high levels of service with all customer accounts.
Your profile
- DTH& Rotary Experience
- Code 10 Licence
- Proven technical experience or a keen willingness to learn the technical techniques under the SM Training Program.
- A well-developed understanding of the mining/construction/quarrying industry.
- Strong EHS focus.
- Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with any Sandvik Mining and Construction product range (would be beneficial)
