POSITION: SENIOR OFFICER, PBB MANAGEMENT REPORTING & BUDGETING

REPORTING: MANAGER, MANAGEMENT REPORTING & BUDGETING

LOCATION: MASERU

PURPOSE OF JOB: To produce PBB annual budget and revised estimates in line with PBB business strategy and per Group guidelines and to provide PBB management with monthly management accounts in order for the business to assess financial performance against the budget and revised estimates.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation of the following reports and commentary thereon accurately and timeously:
_ Daily average balance sheet update. _ PBB split between PBB units.
_ Flash split between CIB and PBB. _ Management Information Pack (MIP) commentary for PBB.
_ PBB Flash commentary. _ Financials annexure for inclusion in Chief Executive Report.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process for the PBB business units.
Coordinate the PBB revised estimate process.
Review monthly posting before General Ledger (GL) closes and initiate journal on incorrect postings.
Prepare and submit monthly Net Interest (NI) allocation between business units.
Prepare monthly Net margin reports and commentary thereto.
Prepare and submit PBB Management Information Pack (MIP).
Prepare Monthly Bancassurance Income statement.
Provide Business Banking Balance sheet split between Commercial and Small and Medium Enterprise(SME).
Preparing PBB trend margin reports for PBB Business Units heads.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills / Competencies:

People skills, communication skills, ability to work in a team, including delivery of constructive feedback to teams and seeking constructive feedback from teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
General Accounting Qualification or equivalent.
Computer literacy and working knowledge of accounting packages, i.e. ACCPAC, Pastel, and Quick Books.
Knowledge of IFRS.
At least two years accounting experience is required. Practical application of Management Accounting and Budgeting principles will be an added advantage.
