The Lesotho Water And Sewerage Company (WASCO) invites applications from suitably qualified local candidates for the following position:
Job Title: Legal Affairs Manager
Reports to: Head Corporate Services
Purpose of the Role:
To provide the best legal advice to the organisation, represent the organisation in the disputes internally as well as in courts of law, review WASCO legislation and participate in Water Sector Review Legislation.
Key Tasks
Issue summonses to defaulting customers
Prosecute and/or defend labour disputes at DDPR, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court , Subordinate Court, High Court and Appeal Court
Prosecute customers who were involved in illegal connections.
Maintain 100% compliance status on all legal obligations undertaken by the organisation.
Advise Exco on LEWA compliance regulations and standards
Liaise with external lawyers where necessary to ensure that the Organisation enjoys the best legal representation.
Review all legal contracts within the Organisation
Interpret all water laws in relation to urban centres and their amendments thereto.
Render legal and Corporate Secretarial Services to the Board of Directors and Management.
Prepare and monitor annual budget of the section.
Advise the company in dealing with disciplinary matters and revise the Collective Agreement annually
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on activities undertaken and on the implementation of sectional activities in order to inform management and to track progress against the divisional initiatives for accountability and performance monitoring.
Job Title: Network Administrator
Reports to: Unit Head Infrastructure and Service Desk Management
Purpose of the Role:
To administer, support and upkeep of the WASCO’s Local Area Network and Wide Area Network infrastructure including all active and passive component and the WASCO PBX and telephone system, to ensure smooth operations and improved communication.

Design and Plan WASCO network to the best networking standards
Manage network capacity and performance through network base lining.
Implement best ways of managing servers
Implement the Disaster Recovery Site for WASCO
Respond to observed patterns/trends to determine appropriate interventions required for WASCO network
Review and plan the migration from the analogue to a digital/VOIP network
Ensure compliance with PABX and telephone budget usage and make changes where Necessary.
Implement and manage a service management framework through change control, accident management and problem management.
Monitor and administer Firewall
Administer the Network security of WASCO
