Senior Administrator – Networking and Security – Ref: (SANS)
Areas of Responsibility include:
Senior Administrator – Networking and Security is responsible for overseeing/managing activities of the networking section to ensure:
Implementation of appropriate and secure infrastructure to host bank’s applications, its support and maintenance.
Enable a secure electronic communications infrastructure for the bank with internal and external parties
Staff in the section is supervised and guided accordingly.
The incumbent shall be responsible for the following:
Undertake development of IT network infrastructure and security delivery strategies in order to inform future planning of the division/department on service delivery.
Implement high performing networking within and external to the Bank; these include but are not limited to: switching, routing, firewalling virtualization and storage management.
Determine ICT infrastructures that will ensure a network environment secure from potential threats, such as viruses, hackers etc.
Implement relevant IT networking and security infrastructure to host the bank’s applications while also guarding against obsolescence of infrastructure.
Determine and implement contingency measures, such as backups and disaster recovery sites that will ensure continuation of bank’s operations on the core applications, even at times of disaster.
Provide daily supervision and leadership to section staff in order to ensure attainment of sectional goals and targets.

A Master’s degree in ICT field
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or similar certifications would be an added advantage.
Five years relevant experience in the ICT field
