POSITION: OFFICER, MIS AND BUSINESS PERFORMANCE _ PBB
REPORTING TO: MANAGER, COUNTRY AND BUSINESS INFORMATION
LOCATION: MASERU
PURPOSE OF JOB: To assist in providing Personal and Business Banking (PBB) with reliable Management Information and analysis from at least the following perspectives: Personal and BusinessBanking customer segments; Channels and Product/Financial Solution in order to assess business performance and make informed business decisions.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide MIS Solutions and to assist PBB to make informed decisions on
• Customer Segment a.o.: Market share; customer acquisition, attrition and retention; cross sell ratios; transaction behaviour and best approximation of customer profitability.
• Revenue channel (to individual ATM; branch; POS; internet banking, CCC): utilization; productivity, capacity, revenue (fee income); start up rates and best approximation of channel profitability.
• Product/Financial Solution; acquisition, attrition and retention.
2. Provide detailed Pricing MI, to aid fact based recommendations to sustainably improve the financial performance of
Personal and Business Banking:
• Develop, maintain and present 1 view of pricing parameters, inclusive of risk indicators.
3. Assist in-depth analysis and trends to provide meaningful management information and underlying reasons that can be used in route cause analysis and problem identification:
• Business case development (premises and outlets).
• Score card input and performance appraisals.
• Root cause analysis and decision making.
• Reports and presentations.

REQUIREMENTS:
Skills / Competencies:

Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary IT/Business qualification in Information Systems (BSc, BEng or BCom Information Systems & or equivalent).
• Good understanding of retail (banking) channels, products and services.
• 2 to 3 years experience in a data and information management role:
Cognos
MS Office skills essential (Excel, Access, Power_point, MS Word)
SQL (Structured Query Language)
Experience in product development and management, inclusive of pricing and margin management.
