Business Development Manager
The role
To secure new profitable business for the company within the mining bulk materials handling environment by engaging new clients and managing the tender and estimating processes.
Your responsibilities
- Manages client relationships
- Manages tender process
- Manages the estimating process
- Manages estimating process taking into consideration the design and cost aspects.
- Liaises with relevant role players to ensure
- the design complies with client specifications and concept outlines
- the design produces a fit for purpose, successful and cost effective solution for client
Your profile
- Minimum B Tech in Engineering or B Degree in Engineering (suitably qualified as articulated in the EE Act)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the mining material handling industry
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Procurement Policies and procedures and the application thereof in the tendering process when adjudicating and awarding tenders
- Knowledge and understanding of the business activity of presenting products or services in such a way as to make them desirable
- Sound knowledge of materials handling products, equipment and MS Office applications inclusive of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
