Opportunities at LETSENG DIAMONDS 2018
Letšeng Diamond Mine (Letšeng) invites expressions of interest for the Lesotho registered companies to supply under any of the categories outlined below for the Patiseng development project to run during 2018.
EC&I Supply, Deliver and Install
Contractors to supply, deliver and install items such as MV cables, LV cables, cable racking, standard conveyor instrumentation, fibre cable, splice boxes and other typical components for conveyor installations. In addition, the Contractor will be required to carry out MV terminations, LV terminations, fibre splicing as well as provide all site related support such as QA/QC, HSE, general construction management and general site infrastructure.
MCC Supply and Deliver
Contractors to supply and deliver two/three IP65 outdoor rated MCC units complete with VSD, soft starter and DOL components. In addition, one of the MCCs will require the inclusion of a regenerative drive unit.
Mini-Sub Supply and Deliver
Contractors to supply and deliver two/three mini-sub units. The units are anticipated to be triple wound 365/315/50 kVA units at 11 000/550/420 V. Furthermore, the mini-subs will be oil filled and are required to be self bunded.
Conveyor Drive Units
Contractors to supply and deliver a number of complete drive units for an overland conveyor system. These complete drive units will comprise of the gearbox, motor, high and low speed couplings, base frame, torque arm, hold backs and automatic brakes as may be specified. The size of units range from 45kW up to 110kW units.
Steel, Mechanical and Plate (SMP) Supply and Deliver
Contractors to supply and deliver items such as structural steel, plate work, guards and various conveyor mechanical components such as belting, skirting, pulleys, winches (both manual and automatic), idlers and scrapers which would be required for an overland conveyor installation.

Small Civil Works
Contractors to construct small civil works such as pre-cast conveyor sleepers as well as certain in-situ cast civil foundations to support conveyor transfer towers, conveyor head and tail end structures and other small works to support the electrical infrastructure as may be required.

All equipment requested will be fully specified by the Engineer and the Contract terms are anticipated to be bespoke conditions suited to the size and complexity of the equipment being supplied. Drawings will be provided for all construction, manufacturing and installation work to be completed. Ensure that the teaching of the subject is spread equitably across the timetable and teachers under his /her supervision are gainfully engaged throughout the school day.
Organise the setting and marking of school examinations in his/her subject.
Advice the principal on the purchase of suitable teaching and learning materials for his/her subject.
Advise the principal on the correct entries for external examinations.
Act as a mentor to newly qualified teachers and induct them on appropriate teaching methodologies as well as useful reference
