Main Responsibilities
Sub editing all articles for publication in the newspaper (fact-checking, legal, plagiarism, rewriting, etc)
Working with reporters to enhance articles through journalism best practice and by sharing knowledge on key areas
Performing all sub-editing tasks under time pressure to ensure timeous publication
Perform overall newspaper quality checks

• Create page design and layout for newspaper
• Execute revisions if necessary
• Preparing PDFs for print
• Editing and preparing images for print output
• Liaising with Marketing department for advert designs
Required skills and experience
• The candidate should be fluent in the following design packages;-
• Adobe InDesign CS4 or later
• Adobe Photoshop CS5
• Adobe Illustrator CS5
• Knowledge of print industry processes
