Payroll Assistant Accountant Wanted at Lesotho Electricity Company
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is in Maseru, LEC Head Office. The incumbent will be responsible to the Payroll Accountant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Business Studies or Certified Accounting Technician or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience
2 Years relevant experience
Experience with computer based payroll package-D-bit and Accpac will be an added advantage
Personal attributes and competencies
Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Computer literacy is highly critical
Highly numerate
Good interpersonal Skills
Valid driver’s licence is an added advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
Prepares wages payroll.
Verifies salaries payroll inputs.
Reconciles clearing accounts.
Resolves fixed term employee’s time sheets queries.
Reconciles tax year –end reports.
Prints tax certificates and distributes them to all employees.
Prints payslips and distribute them to the relevant departments.
Reconciles payroll accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepares cash payments register for casual labourers.
Files all payroll documents on daily basis
