Technician Wanted at Lesotho Electricity Company

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The incumbent will be responsible to the Superintendent Mokhotlong. The position is in Mokhotlong.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 2 years working experience in an electrical field.
BSc Electrical Engineering or BTech Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage


EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Computer Literacy is essential
Valid Driver’s Licence is essential.
Technical and problem solving & team building skills.
Organising and facilitation skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Among others, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:

Supervise contractors during construction on site.
Implement construction projects according to LEC designs and construction standards.
Prepare picking slips for contractors to fetch materials from stores.
Ensure that proper materials are used for construction projects.
Organise outages for contractors.
Liaise with affected communities during construction of projects.
Inspect and commission completed.
Prepare as built drawings after completion of projects and update network single line diagrams.
Credit left-over materials to   LEC stores.
Process contractor’s invoices for payments.
