- Project management and take a lead role on major projects.
- Preparation of road designs, bills of quantities, contract documentation and tender evaluation, administration of construction contracts and ad-hoc site supervision.
- Project execution and ensure that projects are undertaken to a quality management system, to high technical standards, within budget and programme.
- Financial management, administration and control of projects.
- Design oversight, support and management to the project team.
- Staff development and management.
- Business development – elevates the profile of AECOM in-country, source and follow opportunities in-country, lead and/or support tender pursuits and project proposals.
- Provide effective client liaison, maintain and improve relationships with key clients and local authorities.
- Assist with the management of the local office.
- Any other work, related to projects in the department, as directed by the Business Unit Lead.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a Consulting Engineering environment, specialising in the Transportation sector
- Strong background in terms of Geometric Design on major roads projects
- Relevant Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering will be advantageous
- Ability to work independently or in team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Lesotho national languages.
- Strong business networking skills within the industry.

- Ability to multi-task – work on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to plan, leads, support and execute work independently or within a multi-disciplinary project team environment.

- Proficiency in industry-standard design and project management software like Civil 3D, Civil Designer, MS Project etc.
- Although projects will predominantly be in South Africa, the candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness to undertake projects within Africa, while being based in the Centurion office.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
- Preference will be given to Lesotho nationals
