Packaging Engineer
The above Grade K position exists in the Packaging Department. The position provides opportunity for a young and talented individual who wishes to develop a career in this exciting industry as a Packaging Engineer.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
The primary purpose of the job is to co-ordinate, coach and control the activities of the level one maintenance teams in the production environment and to provide specialist technical advice to ensure maximum equipment availability.

Maintain maintenance integrity
Optimise plant availability
Make modifications to enhance performance and machine efficiencies
Plan and Implement maintenance Priorities
Ensure good maintenance practices are applied during maintenance days
Manage Human Resources
Optimise process performance
Conduct engineering administration
Optimise plant for quality and loss improvement
Control spare usage and maintenance cost.
Support continuous improvement.
Facilitate problem solving
Apply the Manufacturing Way principles and practices
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics/Electro-Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ post graduate experience.
Certificate in Packaging (IBD) will be an advantage
