World Vision Lesotho (WVL) was legally established in 1987, even though the Ministry dates as far back as 1976 when WV began child sponsorship in 2 primary schools under the auspices of WV South Africa. Between 1987 and 1995 WVL's model of development was through Community Development Programmes (CDPs). In 1987 with the support of the Methodist Church, as a local partner, a small coordination Office was established. World Vision Lesotho currently has 17 Area Development Programmes (ADP's) that are implemented using the integrated holistic approach, Communities within these areas elect grassroots committees to add value and increase the impact on the well being of children. This is supported through two funding streams, namely Child Sponsorship and Grants ( Non Sponsorship).
NUTRITIONIST
Purpose of the position:
The position has the primary responsibility to develop and support nutritional interventions of the project. The Nutritionist will be responsible for development, training, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of nutrition related interventions. The Nutritionist will work closely with vulnerable communities to of the project, improve their nutritional status. The position will require frequent travel to FDPs’ in Maseru, Quthing; Mahales Hoek; Mafeteng, Leribe and Qachas’Nek districts.

PROJECT COORDINATOR, ECHO CASH PROJECT
This is a mid-level management role to maintain WV’s commodity programming, management, reporting and accountability standards in WV Lesotho while providing necessary leadership, technical assistance and capacity building for the staff working in food assistance programmes. The Project Coordinator (Cash and Food) will work as a counterpart to the Commodities Officer with a focus on developing the skills, knowledge and abilities associated with commodities programming.
Areas of focus include planning, implementation, logistics, training, reporting and accountability, of all cash based programs including non-food items (NFI).
