Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of 
SECURITY IT TECHNICIAN (PATERSON BAND CL)

PURPOSE: Ensure that all IT & Technical related issues regarding security Systems are being managed and attended to timeously

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures technology is accessible and equipped with updated hardware and software.
Installs work stations
Installs and terminates network cables (UTP, Coaxial and Fibre Optic Cables).
Produces reports on network connectivity
Investigate and diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares.
Maintenance of security systems including DVR, Access Control and associated security devices & peripherals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;
Qualified Technician with National Diploma through T3/S4 in Control & Instrumentation or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
2 years relevant experience

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS;
Sound knowledge of Security Technical Systems (DVR, Access Control)
Sound knowledge of computer systems and industrial networks
The ability to execute outputs with exactness and precision thereby eliminating errors
The ability to analyse situations and to arrive at the best possible solution
The ability to apply the principles of problem solving techniques to identify and resolve a problem in the best interest of all stakeholders
The ability to do something well or achieve a desired result without wasted energy or effort
The ability to maintain work rate according to standards whilst operating under severe time and delivery constraints
Sound knowledge and understanding of the work methods and techniques applied in the execution of I T-related outputs

OTHER REQUIREMENTS;
Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness as per requirements.
Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years driving experience
