COLLEGE CLINIC NURSE
General
Lesotho College of Education (LCE) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant positions of a College Clinic Nurse based in Maseru campus. Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Deputy Rector Administration, the Nurse Clinician is responsible for planning and implementation of basic nursing care services for students staff and the College community at BOTH the Main LCE Maseru Campus and (the Thaba- Tseka SATELLITE campus from time to time).
Key Performance Areas
• Develops, reviews and implements clinic policies, protocols and guidelines
• Supervises all staff in the clinic
• Provides primary health care support services to LCE students, staff and community where necessary.
• Develops and manages clinic budget requirements and ensures full accounting of the medication received and dispensed.
• Plans and puts into effect on the job training programs for nursing personnel.
• Participates in the planning and training of public health programs for students and staff.
• Gives the general Report on climate College Health on patients as observed.
• Recommends medical interventions accordingly.

Educational Requirements
The incumbent must have done relevant courses in the
Nursing programs which include, but not limited to: -
• HIV/AIDS management
• Anatomy and physiology
• Medical procedure
• Pharmacology
• Health assessment
• Midwifery
• Health education for school nurses
• Community nursing
• Nurse practices
• Health assessment of youth and children
Experience
Must have a Degree in Nursing or Primary Health Care or Diploma in General nursing and Midwifery plus a minimum of four (4) years working in management of community-based clinic, for diploma holders and two (2) years for degree holders.
Knowledge and Experience
• Must be computer literate;
• Must be willing to work after hours;
• Must be aware of legislative framework that regulates health related matters;
• Must have good interpersonal problem solving skills and high levels of work and professional ethics;
• Should have managed station on their own before
• Must have good leadership skills.
