Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF`s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)), UNICEF, UNITAID, Cepheid etc.
The Foundation invites suitable candidates to launch their applications for the following vacant positions:
1.PEA WIL Nurse (5)
Working as part of the health facility team in Ante-Natal Clinic, maternity, post-natal and under five clinic the PEA-WIL Nurse will be responsible for the following:
• Ensure that mother-infant pairs are followed up as per the protocol.
• Responsible for Maternal and Child Health activities in the context of PMTCT program evaluation.
• Oversee the implementation of the PEA-WIL study research activities at health facility level
• Oversee assigned clinical field site roles, but will provide coverage of the other health facility PMTCT/
ART services as needed.
• Identify and notify clinic staff of participants that have missed routine follow-up visits to the clinic and support follow-up of mother-infant pairs
Diploma in General Nursing and midwifery.
Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council.
At least three (3) years of clinical and administrative experience.
Experience in PMTCT, ART and HIV Testing & Counselling.
Clinical work experience in maternity and MCH services.
2. Study Intervention Coordinator (1)
Reporting to the Associate Director, Public Health Evaluation, the Study Intervention Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
• Coordinating and implementing the IMPROVE study intervention at the sixth intervention health facilities.
• Serve as an administrative liaison for the project.
• Supports the implementation of the IMPROVE intervention components at the facility level.
• Ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Performs other duties as required by the Public Health Evaluation Associate Director.
Degree in Nursing Sciences
Post Graduate qualification in HIV/AIDS with expertise in HIV care and treatment would be an added advantage.
Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council.
At least three (3) years’ experience with HIV/AIDS organization.
Excellent computer and data entry skills.
3. Study Coordinator (1)
Reporting to the Associate Director, Public Health and Evaluation, the Study Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
• Leading, coordinating and implementing the IMPROVE study in 12 health facilities within Maseru district.
• Serves as an administrative liaison for the project.
• Supports the implementation of the IMPROVE intervention components.
• Ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed.
Degree in Nursing Sciences
Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council.
At least three (3) years’ clinical working experience with HIV/AIDS organization.
At least two (2) years of supervision/mentoring experience.
Excellent computer and data entry skills
