Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - WORLD VISION LESOTHO


PURPOSE OF POSITION
To contribute to the effectiveness of the Lesotho FARM Program by providing technical and professional services to its design, monitoring and evaluation component.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Using the WV monitoring and evaluation framework, ensuring that accurate data is collected to measure the relevant indicators for the Program.
  • Collect monitoring data from communities using FARM Program tools and support the data entry and analysis process to produce periodic reports for the program.
  • Understand the program implementation by regular visits to field activities, including other WV Lesotho Projects.
  • Participate in project research activities to guide and inform progress towards achieving objectives and redesign. This includes surveys, assessments, and sentinel surveillance monitoring.
  • Participate in baseline and evaluations of the program and support monitoring of other projects.
  • Participate in World Vision Lesotho Program activities, and in other national programs as and when required.
  • Administratively he/she will report to respective Project Coordinator.
  • Participate and represent WVL Grants in relevant M&E forums including the Technical Working Groups and ensure that all recommendations are communicated to the WVL Grants Office team for dissemination and implementation.
  • Ensure qualitative as well as quantitative assessments of the FARM outcomes and impact.

  • A Ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and morals.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
  • Attend and participate in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Degree in statistics, social sciences and or related field.
  • Experience in DM&E Reporting and Management.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and data analysis software and knowledge in SPSS is added advantage.
  • Must have good analytical, writing and communication skills.
Working Environment / Conditions:
Work environment: National Office based position with 75% field visits
