Commercial Specialist
The role
- Manage commercial risk assessment of quotations and contracts in conjunction with the applicable Business Unit
- Ensure that quotations and contracts are reviewed in accordance with Sandvik rules, policies and procedures to achieve acceptable levels of business (financial) risk to Sandvik
- Ensure that contract rates are adjusted in accordance with the contractual rate adjustment methodology at intervals as provided for in commercial agreements
- Participate in contractual negotiations within the region
- Submit and log tenders, service proposals etc. on organizational data base for approval
- Ensure that the above processes are managed and followed through.
Your profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Commercial Specialist/ Manager dealing with service contracts and contract negotiations and administration.
- Must be an independent, efficient individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to perform and duties well under pressure
- Experience and are comfortable in reading and understanding contractual language
- Proven competency in financial business case interpretation, negotiations and customer relationships
- Have impeccable ethical standards, have a high regard for quality work and for meeting deadlines
- Computer literate on MS Office packages
