Customer Finance Representative

The Role

• Responsible for operational customer financing activities in South Africa, including deal origination, negotiation, preparing financing proposals, submitting internal approval documents, including making credit evaluations, obtaining approvals, executing credit documentation to customers and post-closing follow up of credits.
• Visits to customers and distributors to inform about Sandvik Credit and processes for obtaining financing, including the collection of financial information packages.
• Analyze the collected financial information and make recommendations for credit committee as well as interact with global credit control.
• Prepare contracts and follow up of the legal process in conjunction with Sandvik legal staff support.
• Work with the Swedish and Finnish Credit Export Agency in regards to Export Guaranties for South(-ern) African transactions.
• Responsible for all transactions in the credit log system and registration, settlement, cash application, and modifications for operating leases and loans in the Banqsoft system.
• Responsible of collections for the loan portfolio.
• Generate monthly reports for Customer Finance as well as assist with forecasting according to the Sandvik standards.
• Ensure the fulfillment and adherence of company strategy, procedures and rules.
• Candidate should have previous experience in finance lease/operational lease.

Your profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field
• Commercial Finance, Finance Lease and Operational lease experience
• Cultural awareness
• Must be fluent in English
• Relationship Management (from an internal and external customer perspective)
• Accounting knowledge
• Credit analysis experience
• Ability to travel
• Analysis Skills
• Oral and written communication
• Proactive
• Detail orientated
• Team Player
