Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Finance Officer, the Assistant Finance Officer is responsible for collection of all revenue, capturing of all financial transactions into the financial system, processing cheque payments and filing all payment vouchers and other financial documents.
Under the general supervision of the Finance Officer, the Assistant Finance Officer is responsible for collection of all revenue, capturing of all financial transactions into the financial system, processing cheque payments and filing all payment vouchers and other financial documents.
Duties:
• Receipts revenue from various sources
•Checks and banks all retired accountable imprests in time
•Processes all cheque payments, manual or computerised
•Files all payment vouchers and accounting documents
•Efficiently manages petty cash and maintains records and supporting documents.
•Ensures timely payment for all services rendered to the Council
•Any other related duties as may be assigned by the authorities

Education
A minimum of Diploma in Business Administration or Certified Accountant Technician plus 2 years of professional experience

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Officer is responsible for collection of all revenue, capturing of all financial transactions into the financial system, conducting bank reconciliation for all accounts, assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and effecting, recording and filing all electronic transactions.

Duties
•Captures all financial transactions from primary sources
•Assists the Senior Finance Officer in the preparation of monthly, and annual financial statements
•Assists the Senior Finance Officer with building appropriate audit trail.
•Participates in the annual budgeting process and prepares budget for the department
•Processes and files all electronic transactions
•Implements a robust financial management reporting system
•Attends to channelled queries and provides feedback to the Senior Finance Officer
•Ensuring that all tax returns are timely and accurately filed with the LRA.
•Adheres to the Financial Regulations and any other relevant standing instructions when performing accounts functions.

Education
A minimum of B. Comm Accounting / General Accountant plus 2 years of professional experience. Must be registered with Lesotho Institute of Accountants
