Join one of the foremost humanitarian organizations in the world on a 12 month (renewable) management contract with the objectives of ensuring sustainability of the M&E systems in the different projects, to regularly review programmatic data, identify gaps and recommend appropriate actions and to support operational research in all projects.
Summary of the post:

- Support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation in all projects.
- Review routine data produced by the projects on a monthly basis.
- Support the project data managers and epidemiologists to report data in an accurate, timely and logical manner.
- Support the proper functioning of project M&E system in line with the National M&E systems of the respective provinces or countries
- Support the handover of M& E activities from MSF.
- Facilitate quarterly M&E teleconferences between the medical department and the projects
- Present on M&E topics at relevant MSF workshops
- Support the building M& E capacity for national staff through training, workshops and mentoring.
Operational research
- Support the development of operational research which is in line with the needs and priorities of the local population, the project and the mission.
- Support the development of operational research protocols
- Support Ethical review board submissions
- Support the cleaning and analysis of data collected within operational research
- Support the dissemination of operational research findings. This may include leading or co-authoring the write up of findings for publication in peer reviewed journals.
Requirements:

- University degree in public health and/or epidemiology (MPH, MSc, or equivalent),
- At least 2 years practical experience in epidemiology and/or monitoring of chronic care programmes, with a focus on health problems of the developing world
- Genuine commitment to MSF's humanitarian principles and the fight against HIV/AIDS and TB
- Good time management, capable to set priorities
- Excellent strategic planning and management skills
- Good leadership skills and team spirit
- Ability to handle the pressures and stresses related to the job responsibilities
- Good communication skills
Computer literacy:
- Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and all other basic office software (essential)
- Knowledge of statistical package (STATA, SPSS)
Required languages:
- Fluent spoken and written English
