SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
First National Bank of Lesotho Limited (FNBL), a highly recognised financial services provider in Lesotho, seeks to employ a proactive, innovative, self driven and highly motivated Mosotho to occupy the position of Systems Administrator - IT.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for general maintenance of defined IT Infrastructure, administration of LAN/WAN, Systems/Applications support and for the resolution of identified technical problems, as well as undertaking general tasks which will promote the use of IT in the bank.

Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the IT Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following;
To provide/co-ordinate IT support for the Branch Banking network of service centres.
To provide ad-hoc IT support for employee desktop processing and network services.
To co-ordinate additional IT support activities from out of country.
To provide and assist in co-ordinating IT support for business continuity management.
Custodian for Disaster Recovery Site and Backup and Restore Management
To support Management in enforcing IT Governance and Project Governance Frameworks
To support management in enforcing IT security controls.
Ensure that the organization IT complies with FirstRand Risk and Compliance policies
Coordinate IT activities between FNB Africa and Lesotho.
Interface, co-ordinate and escalate all matters relating to IT vendors supporting Lesotho IT operations.
Install and test new software
Make software available to appropriate users
Carry out routine network maintenance tasks
To provide/co-ordinate Infrastructure support

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum IT Degree
MSCE Certification and/or CCNA certification is preferred.
Experience in maintaining a networked environment (LAN & WAN) and running networking operating systems
IT experience in a banking environment would be an added advantage
3-5 year practical IT support experience

In depth understanding of Server Infrastructures
In depth knowledge of database management
In depth knowledge of network security and management

Be familiar with the network infrastructure (cable and patch panels, hubs, switches, router ) and keep a log of any damage to it
