Position:Nurse Educator
Grade:H
Relations:Report Directly to the deputy Principal Nurse Educator
Job Summary:Expected to engage in all activities that are aimed at enhancing academic, professional and personal development of nursing and midwifery students of the College.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach all cadres of nurses and other paramedical subjects/topics related to nursing
Teach and follow up students in the clinical area.
Develop education and training programme for students’ nurses, midwives and other cadres of nurses.
Participate in the curriculum development innovation and evaluation for the student nurses and midwives.
Participate in extra-curricular activities.
Serve as Examiner or Moderator in nurses’ Examinations for the CHAL NTI Board as well as the Lesotho Nursing Council
Serve in the Recruitment and Selection Committee for the student nurse and midwives.
Assist the Principal Nurse Educator with managerial and administrative duties/tasks.
Serve as resource person in continuing education.
Participate in Nurse Educator Standing Committee which is comprised of Nurse Educators from CHAL Nurses Training Institutions
Participate in activities of the Professional Bodies.
Participate in the budget preparation for the college
Initiate and participate in research activities in and outside the College.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Masters Degree in Nursing Education
OR
Degree in Nursing Education or an equivalent qualification to this
WITH
Diploma in General Nursing/Midwifery,
Must be registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council,
