Who we are
We're Population Services International (PSI), the world's leading non-profit social marketing organization. We work to make it easier for people in the developing world to be healthy by providing access to products and services that range from mosquito nets to HIV testing.
There are over 9,000 'PSI'ers' around the world. It's a motley group of entrepreneurs and professionals with a diverse range of backgrounds all the way from the medical industry to the music business, all with unique skills we bring to the job.
Partner with us!
In October 2011, with funding from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), a partnership of local and international NGOs, led by PSI Lesotho, launched the LETLAMA project. LETLAMA was designed to engage multiple organizations to implement high-quality, locally-produced social and behavior change communication interventions that motivate individuals and create supportive communities for the adoption and sustained use of HIV prevention products and services.
A single evidence-based, theory-informed strategy guides the design and implementation of all communication activities implemented by LETLAMA. Tied together under a single brand, Pusha Love, these activities work at several levels of the socio-ecological framework to create a 'surround sound 'effect for primary audiences. This effect ensures that audiences are continuously exposed to program messages from several different sources and is complemented by active linkages to HIV prevention products and services.
Objectives and Target Audience
The Pusha Love program focuses on supporting Basotho youth and adults to
- Increase correct and consistent condom use;
- Increase knowledge of one's own HIV status and one's partner's status;
- Increase use of HIV prevention services, such as PMTCT and VMMC; and,
- Increase adoption of safer sexual behaviours, such as partner reduction.
The communication associates will work with marketing and IPC to provide technical assistance on communication skills, message development, field support and supervision, management, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation.
