The role
The Account Manager ( AM) is responsible for overall co-ordanationof local business and relationship with the nominated key account for entire Sandvik Mining offerings. Key aspects of the responsibilities are building relationships internally in Sandvik as well as with influential and strategic customer stakeholders. Use these relationships to expand business opportunities which require detailed and profound understanding of the account´s operational needs. Manage and develop Sandvik Mining´s capability to offer products & services to meet those needs. This includes a comprehension of the longer term customer vision to develop a strategy internally with Sales Areas and Product Areas ensuring future sustainability between organisations. The AM is a full-time role and covers single or cluster of mines in a territory.

Key Competencies:

  • Engineering tertiary qualification
  • Project Management qualification and experience
  • Five to ten years work experience in similar fields
  • UG Mining and Surface applications knowledge
  • Interest in and experience of new technologies
  • Ability to establish networks both internally and with Customers

Key Responsibilities:

To develop business & relationship with the account locally by offering Sandvik Mining´s value proposition into the account. These include:
  • To assess the account´s total potential with Sandvik Mining products & services and develop future market potential for Sandvik Mining business with the account. Perform opportunity analysis by operations/projects on share of wallet
  • To develop and implement local account business plan annually to secure new business of the account within defined area and responsibility. Implemented through the application of 4Sales. Responsible for customer satisfaction locally
  • To liaise directly with the account´s local mine management in order to understand their needs and requirements. Responsibility of relationship management with the account
  • To adhere to guidelines of Global Framework Agreement with the account. Responsible for providing inputs on the Agreement´s compliance, conformity and performance
  • To support Business Line teams to close the deals with the account. Responsible for mentoring and coaching of Business Line teams, coordinate and follow-up of their activities through 4Sales
  • Responsible for calculations of budgetary and investmentsproviding the company & the responsible account with all necessary details
  • To regularly update the local account business plan with business activities, relationship development and opportunities through 4sales
  • To co-ordinate both sides to support on products & services delivery as being single point of contact on the site
  • To provide inputs from the site(s) related to new developments and innovations for operational efficiency on safety, productivity & operational costs
  • To co-ordinate overall safety development initiatives and ensure strict adhering & implementation of Sandvik Group´s EHS policyin workplace.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in area or country specific environment
  • Formal qualifications or experience in mining, heavy machinery or equivalent discipline combined with previous successful achievement in field sales activities or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical work experience.
  • Experience in project and operational management
  • Business acumen and background in account management
  • Experience in technical & business discussions
  • Leading international teams and motivating individuals in multicultural environment
  • Successful value selling experience

Location :

Jet Park, however weekly field trips with overnight staysto relevant areas will be required.
