Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the above-mentioned position. The position is in the Operations Department. The incumbent will be responsible to the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• BSc/BEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• 3 years experience in Power Systems Communications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Methodical and disciplined approach to work.
• Self Motivated, disciplined & high integrity.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience and understanding in IT systems will be an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Among others, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
•Carries trouble shooting and repairs on fibre optic network and terminal systems.
•Commissions and configures newly installed Communications and SCADA systems equipment.
•Performs general maintenance on the Network Manager System.
•Builds new substation network diagrams in the Network Manager System including the related data engineering works.
•Develops and implements routine maintenance plan for two-way radios including High Frequency and Very High Frequency radios.
•Develops and implements routine maintenance plan for Remote Terminal Units and Communications Terminal Equipment (Fox equipment).
•Maintains and keeps operation system remote terminal links to enable remote logging for external system support.
•Liaises with telecommunications regulator for timeous renewal of two-radio frequency licences.
•Investigates, analyses and reports on all faults within communications and SCADA systems.
•Prepares and manages Communications and SCADA section’s budget within approved limits.
