Job Purpose
Facilitate and develop a close relationship between Standard Lesotho Bank, estate agents and or developers to ensure all potential buyers are referred to the Bank.
Proactively sell home loan products to property buyers through dedicated estate agents/developers to maximise our market share and grow the banks home loan book.
Provide training and support to the estate agents/developers with a view to achieve our desired market share.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Service
Add value to estate agent/developer through submission of completed applications.
Keep clients, agents/developers informed of bond progress.
Compile developers’ packages with motivations for marketing benefits.
Provide negotiation and arbitration on bonds when required.
Relationship building
Facilitate and develop sound relationships with the estate agent and developer through an effective calling programme.
Acts as primary point of contact for potential home buyers and provide the best advice to conclude the sale.
Complete home loan applications and submit promptly to processing Department to service level agreements.
Facilitate and develop sound relationships with the internal channels such as , credit, assessors and processing department.
Provide regular and honest feedback to agent/developer and client.
Legislative compliance
Conduct a needs analysis to identify customer needs effectively when opening new accounts or giving product advice, in line with Financial Advisory and Intermediary Service Act licence categories.
Complete disclosure to the customers in terms of accreditation, service fees, and commission.
Ensure proper record keeping.
Operational administration
Track businesses submitted to ensure accepted turn around times are met.
Control and manage unnecessary rate request.
Inform the agent/developer and client of bond decision and all related conditions
Marketing and sponsorship
Train and control the standard loyalty programme.
Distribute promotional material justly between all estate agents and developers.
Allocate and control marketing and sponsorship funds among all estate agents and developers to ensure end user bonds reaches our books in terms of sponsor agreement.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Diploma in Business Studies or equivalent, plus
3 years Banking experience with exposure to customer service and sales
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Computer literate
Good numerical skills
Good negotiation skills
Good communication skills
