Job Purpose
To assist with inputs for strategic marketing and communication practices, that support the growth of the Personal and Business Banking (PBB), and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business through the promotion of the Standard Lesotho Bank brand and products and services; among customers, employees, investors, communities, government and all stakeholders
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Projects and event management for events, key campaigns, and initiatives.
Plan and coordinate promotions that help to retain existing customers and acquire new clients within the PBB business area and target segments.
Develop integrated media plans (incorporating social media) and coordinate media planning and monitoring for PBB sales, marketing, and Bank campaigns.
Assist to develop the annual Marketing plan and activities calendar for the year.
Assist to prepare and regularly update the annual Marketing budget with inputs from PBB business unit.
Ensure that advertising and campaign elements are consistent and accurate and in line with brand Corporate Identity (CI) and guidelines.
Ensure that merchandising and marketing collateral, including posters and brochures are appropriately and timeously displayed throughout the network.
Provide marketing and promotional specialist support to country branches.
Manage and oversee activities done by, and act as the liaison with the Bank’s contracted Advertising agency, and other suppliers.
Provide timely reporting on competitor activities and key market updates.
Provide timely and informed inputs into departmental reports on PBB marketing initiatives and activities, including for monthly reporting, EXCO, and Africa Marketing & Communications.
Plan and manage activities conducted by field marketers and promoters, as may be required by the Bank from time to time.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Degree in Marketing, Advertising, PR or Communications.
At least 2-5 years marketing, communications, or advertising experience.
Willingness to put in extra time and effort when required
Valid Drivers’ License
Advertising creativity and event management an added advantage
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Knowledge and understanding of marketing, sales, and service strategies.
Knowledge and understanding of local retail market profiles.
Knowledge of banking products and services applicable to the local market
Understanding of events dynamics and brief writing
Knowledge and understanding of Social Media as a part of marketing mix.
