BAM Promotions (Pty) Ltd invites local candidates for the position of Manager. The interested candidate must be a willing to start work in February 2015. He or She must hold a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, Business Admin or related profession.
Job Duties and Tasks for the Promotions Manager
• Prepare company budgets and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development.
• Assist departmental heads to plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services while working with customers, company officials, sales departments and other agencies.
• Assist with annual budget development for the company.
• Ensure that by inspection and editing that layout of all printed material, scripts, audio, video tapes and other promotional material adhere to specifications that meet client requests.
• Coordinate and manage activities of departments, such as sales, graphic arts, media, finance, and marketing research.
• Prepare sponsorships deals and negotiate sales contracts.
• Identify and develop contacts for promotional campaigns and industry programs that meet identified buyer targets such as dealers, distributors, or consumers.
• Gather and organize information to plan promotional campaigns.
• Confer with department heads and/or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised.
• Confer with clients to provide marketing or technical advice.
• Monitor and analyse sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns.
• Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning.
• Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts and to transact business as agent for advertising accounts.
• Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to field staff and customers.
• Direct, motivate, and monitor the mobilization of a campaign team to advance campaign goals.
• Plan and execute company related policies and strategies for smooth running of business.
• Track program budgets and expenses and campaign response rates to evaluate each project based on program objectives and industry norms.
• Assemble and communicate with a strong, diverse coalition of organizations and/or public figures, securing their cooperation, support and action, to further campaign goals.
• Train and direct workers engaged in developing and producing products and services of the company such as print material.
• Coordinate with the media to disseminate group information that requires publicity.
• Ensure that organizations are regularly contacted to explain services and facilities offered by the group.
• Direct and coordinate product research and development.
• Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
• Consult publications to learn about conventions and social functions and to organize prospect files for promotional purposes.
• Attend all strategic meetings and represent the company in all board meetings.
• Report on the company performance as and when required
• Take full responsibility of the company financial position and strive to move it only in a positive direction
• Ensure that staff under your supervision is always disciplined and their performance is at the best and there are misconducts.
