candidates for the following position:
Job Title: Instrumentation Technician
Reporting: Reports directly to Maintenance
Engineer
Purpose: To repair and maintain all electrical
machinery with emphasis on
electronics, control and communication
circuits that automate both clean water
and sewerage treatment plant
equipment.
KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
1. Repairs and Maintenance
2. Application Testing
3. Quality assurance
4. Technical architecture
KEY TASKS
1. Maintain programmable logic controllers and
keep back up files to the programs
2. Implement both preventative and reactive
maintenance in specific equipment related to
electronics and communication circuit
3. Ensure that all telemetry equipment functions
optimally and take corrective actions when
required.
4. Complete programme problem reports and
work orders issued in the implementation of
preventative maintenance
5. Install repair, replace or modify all electrical
installations and equipment
6. Diagnose problems related to control and
communication.
7. Evaluate system functionality and make
recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma in electrical or electronics engineering
with 2 years’ relevant experience
