POSITION: DIRECTOR QUALITY ASSURANCE (1)

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Rector, the Director Quality Assurance is responsible to coordi-nate, lead, manage, monitor and implement all QA activities of the College. He/she is further expected to ensure that QA office operates in line with principles and demands of the Coun-cil on Higher Education (CHE) and the overall strategic directions highlighted by the College vision and mission statements.

MAIN DUTIES

To assess challenges and develop strategies, programs and other relevant interventions for ensuring adherence to College quality assurance policy and CHE standards.
To coordinate the development of the quality improvement plans of the College.
To monitor the quality improvement plans of the College.
To write and present periodic reports to College Management on quality assurance mat-ters.
To develop schedules of assessments and reviews for various College departments and sections.
To train key players in QA systems and processes.
To facilitate self-evaluation and peer review activities.
To provide technical and administrative support to Board of QA and QA Committee.
To consolidate QA reports and to present them to QA Committee and Board of QA.
To disseminate approved master schedule of QA activities to the College Community.
To organize and facilitate QA awareness campaigns through multi media.
To promote high quality culture in the College through effective communication, consul-tation and other appropriate interventions.
To coordinate all QA activities of the College.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
4. Minimum of Master’s Degree in Educational Management or related fields and at least 5 years related work experience in teaching and administrative engagements in an institution of higher learning. Training in quality assurance is a requirement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Knowledge of national, regional and global higher education systems.
Knowledge of Lesotho national education system.
Ability to provide guidance and to coordinate diverse activities.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Computer literacy.
Ability to think at the strategic level.
Demonstration of customer service orientation.
