Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho citizens to fill the vacancy of Project Manager at Storm Mountain Diamonds – Kao Mine, situated in the rural areas of Botha-Bothe in Lesotho.
Qualifications and Minimum Job requirements:
• Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent
• Certificate in Project Management
• Computer literacy (Microsoft projects)
• Good communication skills in English Language
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
• Hands on experience with project management
• Experience in project management in a diamond processing environment will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Developing projects objectively by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management
• Determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards; completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates
• Determining project responsibility by identifying project phases and elements and reviewing bids and contractors.
• Confirming product performance by designing and conducting tests.
• Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
• Controlling project plan by reviewing designs, specifications and plan and scheduling changes
• Controlling projects cost by approving expenditure and administering contractor contracts
• Monitoring the budget by approving expenditure; administering contractors contracts
• Preparing project status reports through collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends
• Maintaining project data base by collecting and backing data.
• Maintaining product and company reputation though compliance to legislature.
