It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating paediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life threatening paediatric illnesses. EGPAF`s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR (via the US Agency for International Development – USAID), UNICEF and ViiV Partnership Health.
The foundation invites suitable candidates to launch their applications for the following vacant positions:
1. Job Title: UNICEF Project Coordinator
Responsible to: Programs Director
Location: Maseru
Job Summary
The UNICEF PIT U5 Project Coordinator will serve as the primary technical expert and point-of-contact for Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Foundation in scaling up Provider-Initiated HIV Counseling and Testing (PITC) of Children by Integrating PITC into Under-5 Services in Two Districts of Lesotho. The UNICEF Project Coordinator will support an array of initiatives to systematically integrate Provider-Initiated Testing and Counseling (PITC) for infants and children in all encounters children have with healthcare services to increase the percentage of eligible children provided with HIV testing and counseling (HTC) and eligible children initiated on ART. The period of performance will be from December, 2014 – December 18, 2015.
Essential Duties
• Support identification of project staff
• Lead training of project team on PITC
• Lead site preparation and sensitization process
• Support placement of PITC counselors at selected facilities
• Support baseline data collection process
• Monitor project progress against workplan and targets
• Provide ongoing supportive supervision and oversight of project staff
• Ensure completion of project deliverables within budget ceiling
• Participate in donor meetings in collaboration with senior EGPAF staff
• Lead the compilation of technical reports
• Support interpretation of results of project data

Education and experience
Registered Nurse (RN)
5-10 years’ experience working with Ministry of Health in Lesotho. Having worked in Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) services will be added advantage.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Energetic, independent and self-motivated
Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
Excellent management and diplomatic skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working as part of team
Track record of working with district teams
Good understanding of basic IT programs
Knowledge of Lesotho national, and district government structure and operations,
Knowledge of existing in country key players of HIV & AIDS related networks.
Languages:
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in both Sesotho and English
2. TITLE: Reproductive Health Medical Officer
LOCATION: Maseru - Senkatana
REPORTS TO: Reproductive Health Director
Job Summary
Reporting to the Reproductive Health Director, the Medical Officer will work in the cervical cancer prevention program. They will provide technical assistance on the integration of reproductive cancer prevention into existing health systems. S/he will work with the district team on cervical cancer prevention program and will work in the daily running of the cervical cancer prevention center. They will be involved in trainings that focus on reproductive health and scaling up of services especially in the cervical cancer prevention program. Essential Duties
• Provide screening, evaluation and treatment for premalignant lesion of the cervix
• Offer training and supportive supervisions to other health care providers in the districts during scaling up of the program
• To provide basic medical services to client and to be able to provide referral and linkages with appropriate health facilities and specialties
• To provide support to health care providers on integration of reproductive cancers preventions programs into existing health care services
• Support capacity building of health care workers in Lesotho on reproductive health services
• Support the ministry of Health and Social Welfare in planning and implementation of RH programs and services
• Support in the planning, implementation and evaluation of reproductive health service delivery activities
• Participate in the tracking, monitoring and documentation of technical achievement and evaluation of reproductive health activities in regard to access, quality and service delivery impact in collaboration with partners
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports to EGPAF
• Liaise with counterparts in other EGPAF supported MOHSW programs, sharing lessons learned and working to strengthen EGPAF supported MOHSW programs.
• Work in a professional manner and maintain good relationships with site staff, program staff and colleagues in the MOHSW
• May be delegated to represent EGPAF in meetings at local, national and regional levels as requested.
• Participate regularly in all the EGPAF staff and technical meetings.
• Do other duties and responsibilities that may be assign by the senior management team of the foundation
Required Qualifications
• Medical Degree (MBBS/MBChB),
• A Master’s degree in public health will be an added advantage
• Working in HIV program for a minimum of three years
• Experience in RH issues in the context of HIV and AIDS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated experience in programs relating to HIV, MNCH, FP/RH.
• Good program management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Technical expertise in Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS programs
• Good writing skills, excellent communication skills
• Willing to travel in country and in the region
