VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT- SENIOR RISK OFFICER
The Institute of Development Management is a regional organization, with
campuses in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland providing management
development through Training, Research and Consultancy. IDM Regional Office
invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to provide efficient and
cost effective service to the Risk and Internal Audit function in line with the
approved policies and procedures.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities
Coordinate the risk management process across the institute in line
with the Enterprise Risk Management policy and framework
Monitor and evaluate internal control and risk management systems
Facilitate risk appraisal and management
Implement the Operational Risk Management Frame work
Assess and challenge the risk profile
Review relevant process breakdowns from Internal Audit findings.
Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness
within the organisation
Facilitate business function risk meetings
Assist in the preparation of quarterly corporate risk reports
Education and Experience
Degree in Risk Management/Internal Auditing/Accounting and/or CIA
or part qualified.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Risk Management and/or
Internal Auditing related field.
Membership of relevant professional body such as the Institute of Risk
Managers and /or Institute of Internal Auditors.
Certification in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
Knowledge of COSO Enterprise Risk Management and ISO 2008
standard for Quality Management would be an added advantage.
