Carpenter (Artisan)
Requirements
National Certificate in Carpentry plus 3 years post qualification experience in carpentry and Joinery (cabinet making) and related building services or facilities management environment.
Reporting to the Technical Services Supervisor, you will hold responsibility for the carpenter artisan at the hospital and the three filter clinics. Key functions will include the repair, maintenance and installation of all civil related maintenance as well with other trades. Assisting with minor structural changes, repairs and modifications within the facilities. A team player to execute supervised maintenance – treating and painting of carports, parking areas, peripheral fencing, flooring and roofing structures in general; as well with other civil services in preparations of paintings, wall, dry walls, and all carpentry and joinery works.

Requirement
Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent qualification with 5 years’ relevant experience in the field of trade (subject to the provisions of the appropriate Lesotho legislation). A minimum of 5 years’ relevant technical and supervisory experience in a hospital set up and or facilities management. Prior experience and understanding of computerized maintenance management systems. Implementing planned preventative maintenance and adhoc schedules, contracts management, occupational health and safety regulations applicable in Lesotho.
Good verbal and written communication skills plus computer literacy, ability to work under pressure and adapt to change, good planning and organizational skills with strong leadership characteristics. Prior exposure to a financial environment, project management and knowledge of the National Building Regulations applicable to Lesotho will be of an added advantage.
