JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
GRADE: E
RESPONSIBLE TO: ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY
Under close supervision of the Assistant Human Resources Officer, the incumbent is responsible for Processing, verifying and maintaining documentation relating to personnel activities such as staff, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations and classifications.
MAIN DUTIES
• Update of staff list and salary bill.
• Initiates work on appointment, confirmations and promotions.
• Arranges for advertising or posting of job vacancies, and notify eligible workers of position availability.
• Processes and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
• Deals with leave calculations, transfers and retirements.
• Prepares casualty returns and other relevant documents for transmission to Treasury, Public Service and Audit etc.
• Maintain and updates personnel records for staff (paper and electronic) and record leave and staff changes.
• Maintain the HR database and regular update the personnel information
JOB SPECIFICATION
• At least a minimum Diploma in Human Resources Management or Public Administration plus three (3) years working experience in the field of Human Resources.
