The above vacancy exists at MGC Properties – Mpilo Boutique Hotel (Maseru). Applications are invited from suitable
candidates for the above position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To oversee all aspects of Property Management in accordance with the Company policies and strategies, including
maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality
standards
• In consultation with the HRM, responsible for hiring, training and discipline of all hotel staff
• Communicate quality standards and ensure that they are complied with.
• Put in place systems that will create, monitor and assure consistent guest satisfaction
• Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting on-going evaluations and investigating complaints
and initiate corrective action
• Maintain operational effectiveness that will help realise profitability
• In consultation with the HRM, establish and maintain a pro-active human resources function to ensure employee
motivation, training and development, wage and benefits administration and compliance with required laws
• In consultation with the Marketing and Communications Manager, executes marketing, sales and operational
activities in line with the hotel’s business plan
• Prepare annual business plan and respective operating and capital budgets
• Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests, overlooking the maintenance of proper emergency and
security procedures
• Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel
• Supervise all hotel staff and implement adequate success plan on all levels
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma/ Degree in Hotel Management from a reputable international school
• Minimum of 5 years as Hotel General Manager/Operations Manager
• International experience overseeing a 4 or 5 star business/boutique hotel
• Previous hotel pre-opening and opening experience required
• Solid F& B career path
• Knowledge of international Food and Beverage trends
• Knowledge of government regulations affecting hotel
• Stable track record
• Excellent command of English Language (reading, writing and spoken)
• Good Computer skills with sufficient knowledge of Micros/Opera property management & POS systems
