The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) invites
applications from suitably qualified candidates from Basotho
nationals for the positions below in the Investment Services
division:
1. PROJECTS OFFICER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to manage project portfolios from
design, evaluation, implementation and monitoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation of projects proposals
• Evaluation of projects proposals
• Monitoring and implementation of approved projects
• Monitoring of LNDC equity/Loan portfolio
• Preparation of rescue plans for ailing portfolio companies
REPORTING CHANNELS
The incumbent to this position will report to the Projects
Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with major in Accounting,
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in
Financial Management
• 3 years relevant experience
COMPETENCIES
• Computer literacy
• Financial and risk analysis
• High numerical skills and business savvy
• Report writing
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to details
2. INVESTMENT SERVICES OFFICER (2)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to assist new investors to set up and
provide aftercare services to investors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Timely analysis of economic impact of proposed investment
projects
• Implementation and monitoring of approved projects
• Assist the supervisor in the development of strategic plan for
the Division
• Periodic assessment of LNDC portfolio of companies
• Allocation of factory shells and industrial land
• Provision of pre-investment guidance and reliable information
on general investment climate
REPORTING CHANNELS
The incumbent to this position will report to the Investment
Services Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Marketing
Management
• 3 years relevant experience
COMPETENCIES
• Computer literacy
• Financial and risk analysis
• High numerical skills and business savvy
• Report writing
• Presentation skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to details
3. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS OFFICER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of this job is to efficiently and professionally render
quality and timely industrial relations services to the Corporation
and its assisted and subsidiary companies with a view to creating
harmonious relations between workers and management
including their organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To act as a mediator between workers and management and
their organizations to prevent and resolve trade disputes;
• To assist in the formulation of labour policies and procedures
for LNDC and its assisted and subsidiary companies;
• To carry out quarterly inspections in all the LNDC assisted
companies to address their problems and to ensure
compliance with their agreements with LNDC and other legal
requirements;
• To carry out induction for all new investors to familiarize
them with legally binding labour issues and provisions of the
Labour Laws of Lesotho in general;
• To assist in the negotiations for collective agreements;
• To assist the Industrial relations manager in the discharge of
his duties;
REPORTING CHANNELS
The incumbent to this position will report directly to the
Industrial Relations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree or post graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations
Management/ Labour Relations Management or Labour
Studies;
• Degree in Human Resource Management accompanied by
diploma in Industrial Relations;
• 3 years relevant experience

• Report writing skills
• Co-operation
• Initiative and innovative
• Knowledgeable in basic industrial relations matters
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Computer literacy
