Project Manager – MWWP at Lesotho Water and Sewerage Company

The Lesotho Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) invites
applications from suitably qualified Local Candidates for the
following position:
Title: Project Manager – MWWP (2 year contract)
Reports to: Director of Enterprise Project Management
Purpose: To ensure that the remaining components of Maseru
Wastewater Project are implemented in such a manner as to
meet the parameters of time, cost, and quality.
Key Objectives
1. To procure works contractors and services consultancies
2. To administer works and consultancy contracts
3. To prepare project time schedules and monitor adherence
to schedules
4. To allocate project resources and monitor their usage
5. To ensure that projects are implemented within prescribed
specifications
6. To prepare project plans and budgets
7. To coordinate stakeholders involvement in project
implementation
8. To monitor and evaluate the project
Key Tasks :
1. Development of terms of reference for works contracts and
service consultancies.
2. Development of the request for expressions of interest and
request for proposals documents for services consultancies.
3. Advertisement, short-listing and coordination of the
evaluation process for expressions of interest and proposals.
4. Facilitate the development of tender documents for works
contracts.
5. Advertisement and coordination of the evaluation process
and preparation of the evaluation reports.
6. Preparation of contract documents.
7. Contracts negotiations with selected consultants and
contractors.
8. Ensure that works and services contracts are implemented
in accordance with schedules and that deliverables are
submitted as per prescribed schedules.
9. Ensure that payments due to contractors and/or services
consultants are paid on time.
10. Develop process and impact indicators for the project and
monitor the indicators.
11. Prepare and circulate project progress reports to
stakeholders.

principles.
2. Knowledge of the project life cycle.
3. Knowledge of the project management software.
4. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and a variety of
nationalities.
5. Ability to work with and manipulate figures.
6. Analytical and problem solving skills.
7. Assertiveness and strong sense of drive for delivery and
follow-through.
8. Supervisory skills.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Computer literacy.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Engineering with Project Management content
and/or a Degree in Project Management.
• Certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
• At least two years experience in a similar role.
