Details
Minimum Experience:
5 years’ experience with HP OpenView, Cisco Works, eHealth, Cisco Prime, CA Spectrum
Broad knowledge base in fundamental IT technical skill sets
Knowledge of IT Governance and Business
Matric/ IT related Diploma or Degree
Must have a valid OEM certified international CCNP qualification
Must have 9 years' experience as network engineer in the IT industry
Must have 5 years' experience in the ICT field with management responsibilities in a large corporate/public sector organization and extensive experience in the provision of ICT solutions specifically within WAN environment
Must have 6 years' experience in the ICT field with management responsibilities in a large corporate/public sector organization and extensive experience in the provision of ICT solutions specifically within WAN environment
Must have 7 years' experience in the ICT field with management responsibilities in a large corporate/public sector organization and extensive experience in the provision of ICT solutions specifically within WAN environment

Key Responsibilities:
Identify, diagnose and recommend improvements in area of specialisation
Implement initiatives relating to projects that will lead to improved key processes across the business
Ensure that business requirements are clearly identified, prioritized and satisfied by appropriate technical and or business process solutions
Prepare project specifications for maintenance projects, ensure participation and assist in evaluation of proposals for specification compliance
Optimise the operational environment through research and application of best practices and ensure alignment to the overall infrastructure strategy
In conjunction with the vendors, perform regular supportability reviews, health checks and risk assessments of the production environment
Ensure that completed work adhere to relevant policies, procedures, governance and legislative requirements and report on deviations & discrepancies
Correctly apply policies, practices, standards, procedures and legislation in the delivery of work outputs
Apply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks
Provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation
Maintain professional interaction and ensure ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times
Integrate new knowledge attained through formal and informal learning opportunities in the execution of your job
Adhere to specified standards, policies and procedures to prevent wastage on resources and escalate associated risk
Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers
Provide reports with recommendations applicable to area of specialisation
