SENIOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER – GRADE C3
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of
Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer which exists at the Lesotho Millennium
Development Agency on contractual basis ending on the 31st December 2016.
JOB SUMMARY:
The SMEO will be responsible for amongst others, monitoring results achieved in
the implementation of Health Facilities Maintenance Programme activities, and for providing high quality and timely inputs to facilitate improved performance. This entails close communication in liaison with the Ministry of Health and other relevant
health partners and stakeholders.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Participate in the development of the M&E System;
• Lead data collection for performance tracking;
• Prepare periodic performance monitoring reports;
• Coordinate and implement data quality assurance;
• Participate in design and implementation of programme process and impact
evaluation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Statistics or Economics or Public Health or related Social Science fields
with focus on quantitative and qualitative analysis of projects and/or programmes.
- A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation
principles, methodologies and practices.
- An understanding of Lesotho public health systems as well as development issues
relevant for Lesotho will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in writing programme/project M&E reports, articles and
other publications.
- Code B driving license.
