1. Preamble
Loti Brick (PTY) LTD a Manufacturer of clay brick products invites applications from suitably experienced and qualified Basotho nationals for the position of a Managing Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the incumbent will be offered a three year performance based contract and will be expected to have experience, expertise and vision to take on the challenge of driving Loti Brick to realize its strategic objectives.
2. Key Performance Areas
The ideal candidate will be expected to direct and lead the activities of Loti Brick PTY (Ltd) and account to the Board of Directors in the following areas;
(i) Strategic Management
The incumbent must develop Strategies, and ensure that the Company attains its strategic goals and ensure the continuous improvement of Company services and products by proactively and effectively managing the relationships with shareholders, suppliers, major customers, business partners, etc.
Promote compliance and adherence to Corporate Governance Principles and ensure the company’s compliance with financial reporting obligations and applicable laws, rules, codes and standards.
(ii) Financial Management
The incumbent must understand and have the ability to interpret and report the management accounts through relevant ratios (e.g. profitability, asset utilization, liquidity and solvency), and by variance analysis, highlighting major variances and the underlying causes.
(iii) Human Resources Management
The incumbent must develop and implement sound and effective Human Resources strategy which will ensure the company’s long term sustainability.
3. Competency requirements for the position
The position calls for a Post Graduate Candidate in the fields of Engineering or Marketing with at least seven years proven work experience in a large and complex Manufacturing or Processing Organization at Senior Management level. Proven Leadership qualities and Management Skills and experience are essential for this role. Knowledge of Ceramic Technology will be an added advantage.
