Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

SAMMP project M&E planning and management
  • Develop m2m Annual SAMMP M&E Plan and team Workplan
  • Facilitate m2m SAMMP project annual target setting and identification of milestones to track progress with project implementation
  • Manage implementation of m2m’s SAMMP Monitoring & Evaluation plan at Provincial and District level in SAMMP project areas;
  • Lead development and implementation of supportive project M&E processes and tools for routine monitoring and reporting of progress and milestones;
  • Facilitate periodic project M&E reviews to inform quality improvement as required;
  • Develop team project budget in line with Workplan and manage allocation and use of resources in line with relevant m2m policies and procedures.
  • Manage SAMMP project M&E orientation, training and ongoing mentorship for M&E Coordinators and Programme staff;
SAMMP project M&E technical leadership
  • Lead provision of M&E technical support in the implementation of SAMMP monitoring and reporting systems in all SAMMP project areas;
  • Lead development of Provincial SAMMP M&E integration plans, tools and systems development through quality technical assistance;
  • Lead technical support in rolling out Baseline assessments, routine reporting, program reviews and evaluation activities in liaison with DHMT’s and LIPs.
  • Technical oversight of M&E orientation, pre and in-service training for DHMTs, IPs and SAMMP Mentor Mothers;
  • Ensure quality and integrated on-site mentorship and coaching on SAMMP M&E for SAMMP; project teams on appropriate use of M&E tools and systems at facility, District and Provincial level
  • Develop and roll-out structured and integrated
  • Develop and/or revise as required, SAMMP M&E tools for roll-out at Provincial and District level
  • Lead and promote DHIS integration of SAMMP M&E processes for sustainable institutionalisation and standardizing within Provinces and Districts.
Project M&E reviews and reporting
  • Manage routine project data collection and reporting within timelines
  • Ensure M&E data quality
  • Manage donor and internal M&E related reporting for SAMMP project
  • Facilitate quarterly data reviews including utilisation for informed programme planning and use in decision-making.
  • Support development of publication documents and advocacy tools for SAMMP project.
  • Develop and maintain provincial level databases for tracking of all M&E stock and periodically generate update reports;
  • Manage project evaluations as planned in collaboration with Senior M&E Manager and m2m HO.
Team management and leadership
  • Manage team of M&E Coordinators supporting the SAMMP project
  • Provide project direction for SAMMP M&E support team
  • Conduct staff performance management as per m2m Human Resource policies and processes
  • Develop and implement staff development plan, including coaching and mentoring of M&E Coordinators as appropriate.
