Opportunities exist at Minopex Lesotho, Letšeng Site, for Lesotho nationals to fill the positions of Boilermakers.
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of these positions is to diagnose problems and maintain Plant machinery and equipment according to technical specification and sound engineering practise.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
• Diagnose, investigate and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications.
• Perform daily inspections in accordance with the legal requirements, operational and company standards and rectify all defects.
• Design, develop, modify, and install all types of trade related equipment (including chutes, pipes, underpans, etc) as required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment.
• Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
• Continuously monitor equipment failure and efficiency to improve trade specific equipment and systems.
• Consult with production teams on maintenance activities that effects production.
• Supports the achievement of engineering availability and production performance levels.
• Ensure that maintenance related information is recorded and reported to the relevant planning office to support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system.
Ancillary functions and responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with the provided SHEQ and operational systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures, and legal requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Competency trade certificate
• MQA Trade Test certificate would be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING:
• Three years’ trade related experience in a mining or manufacturing environment.
• Vibrating screen assembly Huckbolting
• English Language Proficiency
• Time management skills
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
o This position reports to Engineering Foreman.
o The incumbent will be expected to be resident on site at Letšeng la Terai, Mokhotlong.
o The position is permanent and offers a competitive remuneration package.
